Introducing Sonny Yeh: A Satisfied Solar Enthusiast Saving Money and Mother Earth

Meet Sonny Yeh, a proud Solterra client who recently installed solar on his home in Seattle.  Originally hailing from Taiwan, Sonny moved to Washington in 1982 and has lived in the same house ever since! An international trade broker specializing in northwest forest products, Sonny has a diverse set of interests, ranging from traveling and yard work to delving into the world of technology during his free time.

Green Energy Enthusiast:

Sonny’s interest in solar and green energy dates back a decade, driven by a genuine concern for the environment. As an individual who values Mother Earth, he embarked on a journey to reduce his carbon footprint while simultaneously saving on energy costs.

Solar Goals and Solterra Partnership:

When it came to designing his solar array, Sonny had clear goals – maximize efficiency and contribute to a sustainable future. Solterra played a pivotal role in helping him achieve these objectives by meticulously planning and installing a 6.56 kW solar system that included panels facing both East and West for max efficiency, totaling 16 REC Alpha Pure 410 W panels in all.

Solterra arrives on site and begins setting up for the day.

Discovering Solterra:

Sonny’s journey with Solterra began with a thorough online search for local installers. Focused on finding the right fit for his solar needs, he ultimately chose Solterra for their expertise and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Sonny’s Solar Design Consultant, Kendall Haynes said, “Sonny chose us after thoroughly vetting nearly 10 different companies, including those on Energy Sage.  From the beginning, he wanted a company he could trust to deliver what was promised and would be there for years to support his production after the installation.  The only perk he ever requested was a hat he could wear for his miles-long morning walks, which was proudly presented to him at his Final Walkthrough.  Recently, he happily served as a reference for a recently won client while he was on vacation in Asia!”

A Satisfying Customer Experience:

Sonny describes his experience going solar with Solterra as “completely satisfied.” From the initial consultation to the final installation, he appreciated the professionalism and efficiency exhibited by the Solterra team.

Remarkable Savings:

The impact of Sonny’s decision to go solar is evident in his reduced electric bills. With a smile, he shares that his bills now show savings in the three-digit range – a testament to the effectiveness of his solar investment.

Advice for Potential Solar Adopters:

For those considering the switch to solar energy, Sonny offers valuable advice: “Choose a local installer and save money.” He emphasizes the importance of supporting local businesses while reaping the benefits of reduced energy costs.

Sonny’s story serves as an inspiration for those looking to make a positive impact on both their wallets and the planet.
