OPEN POSITIONS:

02 JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN

ROLE OVERVIEW

The 02 Journeyman Electrician role will lead a crew on our residential solar projects and reports directly to our Master Electrician. This role is responsible for maintaining quality standards and electrical code on the job site and ensuring electrical inspections are passed the first time. This is great job if you are looking for more consistent workflow, competitive paycheck, and schedule (~3 day typical projects) without the crazy overtime on huge projects.

You have at least six months experience in Solar Installations (preferred but not required), have an exceptional eye for details, and have a strong work ethic. This person will be involved in a variety of projects related to solar, EV charging, batteries, and emerging solar technologies.

This is a full-time position: Mon-Thurs (Day Shift) with possible overtime

Responsibilities:

Installation of Solar Energy System, AC/DC electrical run, laying out and mounting electrical components, replace and/or install service and sub panels, and interconnection with the utility grid.
Follow electrical line diagrams and equipment specifications to install high-quality PV systems to NEC and AHJ code.
Verify system functionality and conformity to performance expectations
Transport material to roof using installation and safety best practices
Maintain job site and vehicle cleanliness
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions on roofs and tight spaces like attics and crawl spaces.
Lead team of 3-4 to complete installations on time
Qualifications:

Current WA Licensed 02 Journeyman Electrician
Reliable team player with an outstanding work ethic and professional demeanor
Comfortable working on varying types of roofs in all environments
Detail oriented
Must maintain a Driver’s License and have transportation to and from our office (located in SODO).
Knowledge and safe use of hand-held and power tools.
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Knowledge of building schematic reading
Basic computer skills
OSHA and/or NABCEP PV certification desired
Strong leadership and communication skills
Enthusiastic ‘do-what-it-takes’ mentality

SOLAR INSTALLER

ROLE KEY FUNCTIONS

– Installation of PV System, from array mounting hardware, and AC/ DC run
– Move material to roof using installation and safety best practices
– Follow electrical line diagrams and equipment specifications to install high quality PV systems
– Work with electrician to activate photovoltaic (PV) systems to verify system functionality and conformity to performance expectations
– Maintain job site and vehicle cleanliness
– Adhere to project designs, plans and best practices to ensure quality and code compliance
– Ability to work outside in all weather conditions on roofs and tight spaces like attics and crawl spaces.
– Communication to team about job status
– Work with teams of 3-4

– Proven experience of working within construction.
– Comfortable working on varying types of roofs in all environments
– Must maintain a Driver’s License.
– Transportation to and from our office (located in SODO).
